How to repair the car connector
The connector is a socket with a wiring harness, the connection of the electronic control unit (ECU) and all external components is connected through the connector on the ECU, and the signal conversion in the wiring harness is also used by the connector. In an electronically controlled car, the ECU is the control center, the wiring harness is the neural network of the control system, and the connector is the relay station of the wiring harness in the circuit. Automobile connection has the advantages of convenient equipment and accurate wiring, but it often presents shortcomings in application. The most common disadvantage is poor contact, which often causes signal transmission discontinuity and directly affects the technical function of electronically controlled vehicles.
First, wire and car connector break check
The causes of wire and connector disconnection shortcomings are: broken wire in use, poor connector contact and loose connector terminals.
View method:
1 The shortcomings of the wire in the center of the disconnect is very rare, most of them are disconnected at the connector, therefore, should pay attention to the sensor and the connector of the wire can be loose and poor contact; 2 The connector break caused by poor contact is caused by the connector terminal rust, or external dirt into the terminal and connector socket to form the contact pressure drop, at this moment just remove the connector, the terminal rust or dirt eradication, and then plug in the connector from the beginning, you can return to normal; 3 Check whether the connector terminals are corroded or dirty. If yes, clean up the corrosion and dirt and check whether the terminals are reliably fixed. In normal cases, the terminals are not loosened when you pull the terminals quietly.
Second, wire and car connector short circuit problem view
Short circuits in wires and connectors may occur between the harness and the body (ground) or inside the control switch. Before checking, check whether the connector on the car body is fixed reliably. If there is no problem, it can be checked in 2 steps.
1 Check whether the cable is connected. Remove the connector at both ends of the ECU and sensor, and then measure the resistance between the terminals of the connector using a multimeter. If the resistance value is less than or equal to 10, it indicates that the wire is normal. When measuring wire resistance, it is best to quietly shake the wire in both vertical and degree directions to improve the accuracy of the measurement. Be careful: For most connectors, the meter rod should be inserted from the back end of the connector when measuring, but for waterproof connectors equipped with waterproof sleeves, the universal meter rod cannot be stabbed from the back end when measuring, because a little inattention will cause the terminal to deform.
2 Check the resistance of the short circuit. Remove the connectors at the ECU and sensing ends, and then measure the resistance between the terminals of the connectors and the body. When measuring, one end of the multimeter meter rod is connected to the body and the other end is separately measured on the two connectors. If the measured resistance value is greater than 1n, it indicates that there is no short-circuit defect between the conductor and the body.
Third, look at the car connector should pay attention to the problem
4 problems should be noted when viewing :1) the connector must be broken at the incineration switch off time, otherwise a high voltage self-inductive electromotive force will occur when inserting and pulling the terminal, and then burn the relevant electronic components; 2) When removing the connector, use the method of loosening the locking spring or pressing the locking buckle (not hard pulling); When installing, the connector should be inserted and locked; 3) When removing the waterproof connector, take care to remove the holster; When the equipment is from the beginning, the waterproof sleeve should be in place to prevent the water flow from the connector, causing short circuit defects; 4) When viewing the connector with a multimeter, do not use too much force to stab the terminal, so as to prevent the end piece from deforming and causing poor connector contact.
